The Pullum Law Firm (PLF) was founded in January 2023 by its Chief Counsel, Shawn L. Pullum. The firm is focused primarily on the practice of Intellectual Property Law (Patents, Trademarks, Entertainment Law, Sports Law, and Copyrights) in the Dallas-Fort Worth, TX area. The firm also assists clients with business/corporate transactions, civil litigation, cybersecurity, data privacy, family law, estate planning, and wealth management. PLF also consults with other legal practices in the viability and implementation of project management principles into their firms.
PLF’s principal is Shawn L. Pullum. Shawn is from Baton Rouge, Louisiana. He received his technical education in Computer Science from Southern University and A&M College in B.R., LA and his legal education from Texas A&M School of Law in Fort Worth, TX. Shawn has worked for over 23 years between two Fortune 100 companies. During that time, he earned a MS in Management, specializing in Project Management; earned his Project Management Professional (PMP) certification; and taught a variety of technical and business subjects at the corporate and higher education levels.
In 2012, Shawn started PullCorp Media Group with his wife, Catrina, beginning with artist management and coaching. PullCorp added business consulting and wealth management aspects to the business, soon thereafter creating another company, Puissance Maison Productions to move into book publishing, theatrical, and event production spaces.
Shawn has had a hand in raising six children, making him want the best for those around him, and providing him with a generous portion of patience and perseverance. Shawn comes from a family of educators, which drives him to be a lifelong learner, and to try to raise the knowledge level of those around him. Shawn also spent 10 years in Louisiana as a high school football official, which among other skills, required honesty, integrity, and an ability to quickly know, interpret, and explain how complex rules applied to observed events.
Mission Statement
The Pullum Law Firm, founded on these values, has as its mission statement, “Educating clients about their legal situation with honesty and integrity to achieve the best client outcomes possible.” The firm focuses on specialized areas of law such as intellectual property law (patent, trademarks, and copyrights), sports and entertainment law, and legal project management consulting. Since these are niche areas, we also provide general legal services in the areas of business law, corporate law, family law, estate planning, and wealth management. Within 5 years of opening, the specialized practices will expand to include sports agency/management and crisis management.
